Meet Christian, our Warranty Manager (Germany, Austria)

"Can't do" doesn't exist for Christian.  He is a doer. Interested, determined, ambitious, solution-oriented and at the same time open, humorous, easy-going and helpful. "I like to try new things and love challenges because every complaint, every repair is different," says the improvisational talent.

His craftsmanship, technical understanding and empathy for customers' concerns are very valuable in his job. And the eloquent Oberalp employee knows them inside and out; after all, he worked in the sports retail business for twenty years. "We notice that repair requests are increasing, and we strive to extend the lifespan of beloved touring skis, hiking jackets and more, by providing sensible solutions.  After all, sustainability is close to our hearts."

Christian remains calm in difficult situations and always benevolent toward employees as well as customers. "That's proven its worth so far," he smiles. The active man loves to test his athletic limits - in marathons and triathlons, for example. "Most of the time, more than you think is possible, but for that I need a big goal, a competition, to motivate me to exercise regularly. And of course, I also love to just do nothing and look out at a lake for hours and wait for a fish to bite."

Christian is a family man through and through. In his free time, he enjoys being with his loved ones and recharging his batteries. Together, they are out in the mountains and on their bikes. "My wife and my two children always give me support, strength and the inspiration to tackle new things."  Christian feels the same way at work: "I'm glad that my concerns and ideas are taken seriously at Oberalp, and that we continue to develop courageously.  We really live the team concept and I'm very happy to be part of this big family."
